Gauge Parts Tufting
In 1998, Groz-Beckert took over tufting needle production by Aachen based family company Jos. Zimmermann GmbH & Co. KG, and continues to market the company's product lines under their former brand name, "EISBÄR" (polar bear).
In the textile industry, the production of tufted carpeting is one of the most recent large-surface manufacturing methods. The degree of innovative force in the tufting industry is demonstrated by the fact that the possibilities for patterning in modern tufting machines are constantly on the increase. And this force is boosted by innovative Groz-Beckert developments like the Fernmaster needle.
Our design partners here include machine builders and end consumers, Canesis Institute of New Zealand and WRONZ (Wool Research Institute of New Zealand) and the German Teppich-Forschungsinstitut e.V. (German carpet research institute) in Aachen.
Groz-Beckert's wide range of industrial machine needles has been rounded out and strengthened by this important tufting needle and modules sector.
