Groz-Beckert needles were originally distributed through the machine builder I. L.Berridge who was based in the city of Leicester. At the beginning they only distributed needles applicable to their own range of machines but they progressively expanded to cover all needles supplied by Groz-Beckert Germany.

1951
As sales rapidly increased, I.L.Berridge set up an independent company called Kilbourn Martin Ltd which was incorporated on 13th March 1951. Kilbourn Martin, based at Martin House in Wigston,Leicester, became the UK exclusive agent for Groz-Beckert.

1987
On 13th August 1987, Groz-Beckert KG acquired the agency of Kilbourn Martin and it became Groz-Beckert UK Ltd.

1998
In January 1998 the company moved to Groz-Beckert House, a new purpose built facility about 150 metres from Martin House. From here all the Groz-Beckert products are distributed throughout the UK and Southern Ireland.
