Payments are due 14 days after date of invoice. An invoice will be sent out to you after the event. If three or more participants from the same company attend the same event, we grant a quantity discount on the seminar fee.

4. Cancellation

The registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the start of the seminar in writing, i.e. by email or fax. If a cancellation is received within 14 days of the start of a seminar, we levy a reduced charge for the cancelled course of 30% of the full fee plus VAT. A substitute participant may attend the seminar without prior notice. In case of cancellation without due notice, failure to attend the event or to send a substitute participant, the full price will be charged.

5. Venue

The default venue for events is Albstadt. However, by arrangement events may be held in other locations.

6. Program changes and cancellation of seminars by the Groz-Beckert Academy

We reserve the right to postpone or cancel seminars, change the venue or provide a substitute instructor for organizational reasons or in the event of circumstances beyond our control, such as illness or inability on the part of the instructor. If the minimum number of seminar participants indicated in the seminar registration or course program is not reached, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel the relevant event. In this case, we endeavour to notify participants of this circumstance at least 10 days prior to the planned start of the event. Seminar changes or cancellations do not constitute grounds for further-reaching claims, in particular claims for compensation (also cancellation charges for travel or hotel costs).

7. Liability

Training events and documentation are prepared to the best of our knowledge, paying all due care and attention. We are unable to accept any liability for the success of training, the content of seminar lectures and the accompanying documentation, excepting in cases of premeditation or gross negligence on our part. Claims for damages on the grounds of breach of duty, unlawful action or any other grounds are excluded excepting in cases of premeditation, gross negligence, breach of a primary contractual obligation or the existence of a guarantee, or in the event of fatal or serious injury or damage to health for which we are culpable. In any event, claims to compensation are limited to typically occurring and foreseeable damage. To the extent that liability is excluded or restricted in accordance with this ruling, this applies equally to executives, employees, representatives and vicarious agents of Groz-Beckert KG.

8. Copyright

The training documents issued are subject to copyright and may not be duplicated or distributed either in whole or in part without our consent.

9. Data protection

Personal data made available to us by seminar participants (surname, first name and address), as well as business and accountrelated data will only be recorded, saved and utilized for the purposes of fulfilling our obligations arising from this agreement. The surnames and first names of seminar participants will be made available to the other seminar participants with reference to the relevant company by means of the list of participants.

10. Provision of protective clothing

Where the specific training event calls for the use of protective clothing such as goggles and safety shoes, these will be provided. Any such items remain the property of Groz-Beckert and must be returned following completion of the seminar.

11. Applicable law and legal venue

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply. The exclusive legal venue for all disputes arising is Albstadt, where the contractual partner is a business, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law or has no general legal venue in Germany. However, we shall also be entitled to instate legal proceedings at the place of the business of the contractual partner.
