The textile world at a glance: From litespeed® plus to dur

Just an image

In the textile world trends undergo extreme change. What is modern today might be gone and forgotten tomorrow. Not only sections, but fabrics and manufacturing techniques also depend on this type of continuous change. The few constants in the sector thus carry even more weight. Among them has been, for years, the Techtextil in Frankfurt, Germany. The leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens presented the entire spectrum of potential applications for textile technologies from 9 to 12 May, 2017. Of course, Groz-Beckert did its part and was represented with a booth at the highly-visited trade fair.

Techtextil and Texprocess 2017

The focus falls ever more on individual customer requests and requirements when it comes to the processing of technical fabrics and nonwovens. The strong demand was also reflected in the number of visitors to the Techtextil and Texprocess 2017. In fact, more visitors were welcomed at the Groz-Beckert booth than at any previous Techtextil/Texprocess. From the presentation of the quality management Ideal Needle Handling (INH) and the PosiLeno® leno system to not one, but two, innovations in Felting ─ Groz-Beckert demonstrated its comprehensive expertise along the entire textile value chain.

Convincing innovations

Not demand, but rather customer satisfaction defines the market. This is a philosophy we have long followed at the Technology and Development Center (TEZ) at Groz-Beckert headquarters in Albstadt, Germany. With this newsletter we are taking another step in this direction, with a survey of our customers on the everyday use of the market-ready litespeed® plus needle. Find out about customer experiences with the needle and which results can be targeted.

Customer satisfaction ─ also the aim of the innovative Groz-Beckert “dur” needle. With the same needle geometry it boasts significantly longer service life and improved resistance to corrosion. Discover in this Newsletter issue which benefits the Felting innovation holds for you and let Groz-Beckert assist you with the needle-replacement process.

Fashion trend: reversible sequins

They have literally turned the world of fashion on its head. The sequin pattern on a T-shirt can be turned over with a simple swipe of the hand. What began as children’s fad is now conquering the rest of the world of fashion. But exactly how does sequin embroidery work, and what distinguishes it from conventional or technical embroidering techniques? Find out as well which needles Groz-Beckert supplies specifically for single- and multi-head embroidery.
Not so much a fashion trend as a daily companion: woven fabric in geotextiles, curtains and shirts. A wide variety of application fields, in particular, make them genuine all-rounders. Groz-Beckert’s product range provides for their optimum fabric quality and smooth weaving process during manufacturing.
